I have to say that it was relatively easy to install and everything works really well. Me and a friend of mine both ordered the A3000 winches for our Yamaha Grizzly's. The mount fit very well and the winch and all the electrics with it were very easy to get wired and fitted into place on my Yamaha 700 Grizzly. On my friends 450 it was a little tighter to get in but it did go and it works very well also. On our first trial use we decided to go out to deep snow and see what we could do to help each other out of stuck situations. It is kind of fun to go and see how stuck you can get before you use the winch to get yourself out. On the first several times I got stuck my buddy hooked on to me and pulled me free very easily. Then it was my turn. He would go first and get himself stuck and then I could use my winch to pull him out. The first time I used mine we noticed that the cable had a 180 degree bend in it about 3/4 of the way out. I had never seen anything like it. It was like someone had started winding it up one way then decided to change direction and wind it up the other way. We took it out all the way to see if there was anything else but the rest of it was fine. As we were letting it back in I tried to straighten it out but there was a definite permanent kink in it. I called the company right away and they were right on top of it. I got instant service and a new cable was shipped to me immediately. The customer service was first class and the parts they sent were the best made that I have seen. This mounting plate is better than all the rest I've seen on friends machines. I would definitely buy this winch again. It is strong and can easily pull the weight of anyone else stuck or yourself. We also have pulled larger trees that have fallen off of trails that are too big to move by hand. The winches are dependable and powerful and best of all affordable. We got 2 winches cheaper than what several name brand models charge for 1 of theirs. We can't see any differences in manufacture quality or power specifications. Great winch, Don't be afraid of the cheap price. It has the best value out there from what I've seen and is just as good as the higher priced ones. I'll get off my little soap box now.
